A defining relationship.

How we work together matters too.

Working Together.

Any good relationship is built on honesty and transparency. With that in mind, this page covers everything you’ll need to know about how I run my business, the values that drive my business, and my expectations in our working relationship. I truly believe that you invite in what you put out there, so by only working with people who are aligned with my work ethic, morals and values ensures that together, we put the best work out there. And in turn, attract the best customers for your business.

My Business Values. 🖤

  • Communication.

    1. Communicate often and with clarity within set boundaries.

    2. Transparency and honesty are always encouraged.

  • Process.

    3. Be organised and well-planned, every step of the way.

    4. Prioritise and don’t adhere to a “last-minute mentality”.

  • Responsibility.

    5. Be human and take ownership when things go wrong.

    6. Be grateful and respectful of each other’s time.

Guidelines.

This isn’t a one-way street. This is a collaboration, as although I come into your business as an expert / specialist to consult in certain specific areas, you are also an expert in your business and industry. Organisation and good planning is key. So together, we must respect each other, respect each other’s time and energy, and also ensure that the project is given the time and attention it deserves (as outlined in our budget and agreement) — not leaving items to the last minute, last minute phone calls, or poor planning affecting the overall project direction and completion date.

    • The briefing online form must be completed before I schedule any meetings to discuss your project further. Please respect my time by giving 5 minutes to this, as it’s also a good way to think further about your own project and what you really truly need!

    • No work starts until an agreement has been agreed to, contract signed, and a deposit has been paid. No ifs, buts or maybes.

  • What we’ll use as part of our working relationship include:

    • Asana or ClickUp for project management (no pre-setup required)

    • Google Drive for file sharing and single-source collaborations

    • Dropbox for larger file sharing.

    • Using clear and relevant subject lines that include the core topic of the email makes it much easier for me to track our communications, and take action for you.

    • Keeping emails in threads is ideal for project communications. Please always reply directly to the email I send you, stay on topic of that email, and keep the thread together —to avoid loss in productivity and project progress.

  • All communications will be via our chosen project management system and email, only exception is an emergency or real-time activities where WhatsApp is accepted.

    • All meetings are via Zoom and will be pre-arranged and scheduled into the calendar.

    • Unscheduled phone/WhatsApp calls are reserved for emergencies only because of the productivity cost.

    • Generally, I am available between 8am-6pm Central European time, Monday to Friday (unless stated otherwise and except German public holidays), with schedule shifts for Australia/Oceania to North America where needed.

    • However, from time to time, I will be working remotely from another country for work or family purposes. If I am in another time zone, I will endeavour to maintain some cross-over with Central European time where possible and/or applicable, and will manage this accordingly with the project outline we’ve set.

    • Please make sure you advise upfront on your office hours before we start the project, to ensure we find the right flow.

    • If I’m going on a short break (1-4 days) or taking personal time, you will receive a minimum of 1-2 weeks notice. For bigger time offline, you will receive a minimum of one month notice. Again, I would expect you to also provide such notice to me, especially if I am working to specific deadlines for you and may need your input.

    • Please always provide very clear and direct feedback as we work on the project. Any hesitations or lack of clarity could later derail the project timeline when things need to be changed, as well as increase the project cost.

    • Every project will have a set number of revisions included in the price.

    • Most projects have two sets built in.
Please be aware that your delays in offering feedback or missing/pushing/extending a deadline, you can expect the project to be delayed up to 2x the length of your delay.

    • All invoices are sent monthly via email in PDF format and you will have the option to make payments via bank transfer (I recommend Wise.com for cross-currency payments), Paypal, or credit/debit card (via Stripe.com).

    • Payments not received within 30 days will incur a fee, as outlined in your agreement. An additional invoice will be sent for this fee, until payment is received.

    • However, If you know a payment is going to be late, please communicate it. To avoid chasing up and additional fees, please be the first to reach out and explain how and when you will rectify the situation.

In reading the above list, if you have any concerns then maybe we’re not a right fit. But if this aligns with you well, you’re already using such tools or not afraid to dive in, and feel this fits with your work culture & ethos, then let’s go for it!

It all begins with an idea…. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
